One of my New Years resolutions, even though I don't make New Years resolutions, was to sew more. So when I had the opportunity to test a pattern for Heidi and Finn I was thrilled. I have made a few of their other patterns before and find them easy to follow and quick to complete.
You may remember the Urban Unisex Hoodie pattern I used to make the boss a Shamu costume last Halloween (Full post here),
or the Chic Cocktail Swing Coat I blogged about here.
This time we were testing a ballet shrug. I was so thrilled to be selected not only because I love their stuff but I have been wanting to make/buy The Boss a ballet shrug but have not found what I was looking for! I was also able to upcycle a sweater of mine that was recently moved from my closet to the give away bag so this sweater cost me nothing...perfect!
The pattern was well written and easy to follow, and only took about an hour to complete after it was cut (that always takes me a long time). As always Heidi and Finn patterns contain lots of pictures making them super easy to follow, I usually follow the pictures and only read the explanation when I get stuck (shhh!). Their patters are also emailed to you quickly after your order and can be printed on a regular printer so it doesn't take long to get started. If you are looking for cute urban wear for your little one check out their etsy shop or follow them on their blog! You won't be disappointed.
And, of course one in full motion at dance class. The Boss does not stop moving in class long enough for a clear picture!
