The only jewelry you are wearing

which is only there because 

your wrist was the cleanest,

 most convenient place for you to put it 

as you walked out the door with the kids.

This is us this week.  The Boss has randomly burst into tears multiple times this week, very unlike her.  I try not to be one of those parents with their heads in the clouds, lady your child is just being a brat, but she is due for some more teeth and I honestly can't figure out why else she would be so unhappy.  Poor Girl!

You Know You're a Mom When...{Brushing Your Teeth}

You know you're a mom when...

You're so tired when you go to brush your teeth,
that you don't notice you're using your son's Thomas the Tank Engine toothbrush,
until you put it back in the medicine cabinet.

Yes I did that last night. 
Paused and stared at it for a minute after I realized what I did. 
Then shrugged and went to bed.

You Know You're a Mom When...


You look in the mirror, unshowered, and say 
"Wow, I look like garbage",
To which your son replies,
"But it's beautiful Garbage Mommy!"

Beth, mother of 2. Son 3 1/2, daughter 1 1/2. 

I feel like this captures the unconditional love of a child so perfectly.  Even when we feel our worst they love and cuddle us.  I must say there are some day's I wouldn't cuddle myself and yet The Boss can't get enough.  We Mommies are beautiful pieces of garbage!

You Know You're a Mom When...{Introduction}

Recently, one of my Mommy Girlfriends sent an email to a bunch of our Mom friends called "You Know You're a Mom When...".   You know the one I'm talking about, I'm sure you have all seen a version of it.  What made it fun was that we all ended up replying all and adding our own moments to the list.  So many of them held true for all of us and others made us laugh until we cried.  Being a Mommy, nothing said seems unimaginable.

So, here's what I want to do...I want to hear your stories.  On Wednesdays (A.K.A. Hump Day) I will post a "You Know You're a Mom When..." moment to give us a laugh and remind us all that we aren't alone in our crazy Mommy moments.  Usually by the middle of the week we are all feeling tired and could use a good laugh.  You can also include "You Know You're Pregnant/ Too Pregnant When..." moments.  I have more of these personally, than Mommy moments having only been at it for 10 months. Feel free to send me as many stories as you have.
