Amongst the craziness of all this we decided to have my sister and brother-in-law and their two kiddies over for dinner. Since our babies are the same age they get so excited to see each other and love playing together. When they entered the door my 2 year old nephew handed me a tightly closed tulip with the shortest stem I had ever seen. My sister told me that he insisted on bringing it for me and that she kept warning him in the car that if he played with the stem it would break. Sure enough, it broke leaving an ity-bity stem. Not sure what to do with it, I placed it in this small vase with water hoping it would make it through the dinner. Two days later it looks gorgeous! I love how it looks in this vase and with my new IKEA candles beside it. What a sweet little man! At the age of two he has already learned how much women love flowers and how appreciated even the smallest hostest gift is!
*The heart on the fridge is also original work from my nephew for valentine's day. I love the little people in my life!
